To everyone visiting from DPH’s Fast Fiction, welcome. Unfortunately, I’m still in the midst of migrating my writing from my old site to my new site, meaning it’s temporarily offline. I have a weblog, but there’s really not much writing there — only webloggy things.
…and if you have no idea what I’m talking about, go to Die Puny Humans for some great writing.
I’m truly impressed, Jai. It took me a moment of double-takes and double-checking to confirm, well, that you were you when you showed up on Warren’s site.
Not that you really have any clue who I am, up to this point in the comment, but that’s okay. I haven’t even seen *Tony* in months, and I didn’t even know you were back in Ottawa. Expecting you to recognise a new and strange name when I haven’t even spoken to you in person in maybe 5 years would be absurd.
Keep up the good work, man.
John
Thanks for the welcome again. How many new people have found you so far since Warren posted your piece?
Yours is my fave so far. I really thought some of them blew, but most were excellent.
Thank you very much. I still need to sit down and read them all — The list keeps getting bigger and bigger.
…and your icon is wicked. Purple Tentacle was my fav.
Three or four people have added me to their friends list, I think?
…but which John? That is the question.
(Thanks for the kind words. I haven’t been out much since I moved back a few years ago — I mostly go to Zaphods on Tuesdays/Sundays, and otherwise keep to myself.)
And Friday’s not quite over yet, either.
Red hair. Ponytail. Ran into you through Tony mainly, and few times through a whole lot of gamergeeks.
Of course, I don’t look at all the same, any more, but that’s what I looked like back then.
John
I can always find a semblance of mental piece by playing a few minutes of that game.

That site is a godsend.
I spent a not-inconsiderable amount of time getting my XBox to agree to play all the old SCUMM games.
Full Throttle is in my future.
Did you mod the xbox to run linux to do this? Just curious, as I don’t even own an xbox.
Modded the xbox, yes — but there’s a native port of the SCUMM emulator for the xbox that I run.
Linux I use to run Star Control 2.
